IIEE to defend Billiard crown in PTC World 2026, World Champ Magpantay is PSA Awardee

The Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Annual Awards Night was held at the Ballroom of Diamond Hotel Manila last February 16, 2026 with 10-Ball World Champion Jonas Magpantay as major awardee for his win in the 2025 Qatar World Cup Championships held in Doha, Qatar. Magpantay also won the exhibition match versus Engr. Fil Sonza of IIEE Iloilo last November 29, 2025 at at SMX MOA Game Park, Pasay City which are supported by MP Barge, Huawei, Hypertech, Hope Electric, InfiniAccess, Amber Publishing, LJ Industrial and with MORE Power as major sponsor. PBA Legend Ramon Fernandez beat Manny Paner in Billiard exhibition in the presence of GM Eugene Torre and Gen. Nicolas Torre.
The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) is set to defend its crown in Billiard in the Philippine Technological Council World Engineering Day and National Engineering Month (PTC WED NEMO) dubbed as 4th D’ Engineers Cup which will be held on March 28, 2026 at Paeng's Gateway Bowl, Gateway 2 Cubao, Quezon City to be hosted by the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE). Meanwhile in chess, Mapua who will support PIChE was the Champion last November 29, 2025 at SMX during the 50th IIEE Annual Convention, will try to snatch the crown versus IIEE Singapore who is the 2025 PTC WED NEMO champion which will be held on March 14, 2026 at IIEE Cubao.-Marlon Bernardino-
