Jimena funeral set today

The funeral of former Bacolod City Office of the Youth, Sports and Development (OYSD) head, Gregorio ?Greg? Jimena is set today Feb. 9 at 2pm at the Rose Lawn Funeral Homes here in Bacolod City.
Jimena, 73, passed away early Saturday morning, Feb.4 at the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
According to his wife, Pauline, her husband suffered asthma before they brought him to the hospital last Friday, Feb. 3 for immediate medical attention. However, Jimena succumbed to cardiac arrest due to asthma the next morning.
Jimena, was born on Sept. 26, 1938 and served as OYSD head during the time of the late Mayor Alfredo Montelibano Jr. and the early year of Mayor Evelio Leonardia?s administration. He focused on the development of amateur boxing in Bacolod during his time.
He also served as Regional Director of Bantay Bayan Foundation in 2010.
