SEAOIL-NBTC Bacolod leg resumes Jan. 7 By Jerome S. Galunan Jr. PhilBoxing.com Sat, 07 Jan 2012 BACOLOD CITY ? Following a 26-day ceasefire, the SEAOIL-National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Elite League Basketball League resumes action today with a 3-game schedule at West Negros University (WNU) gym. Trinity Christian School (TCS) and Mansilingan Christian Academy (MCA) square off Saturday at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) ? La Consolacion College-Bacolod encounter at 10 a.m. Meanwhile, at 1:30 p.m., WNU faces the Bacolod Christian College of Negros (BCCN). On Sunday, the Tangub Christian Academy and MCA will collide at 1:30 p.m., to be followed by the WNU and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos clash at 3 p.m. The crossover semifinal is on January 29 and the best-of-3 finals will be on February 4. ALL STAR GAMES According to SEAOIL NBTC program director Eric Altamirano, the most anticipated new event in the program was inspired by last year?s SEOIL All Star balloting campaign that ran here in Bacolod. ?This year, the SEAOIL NBTC will begin the SEAOIL High School All Star Game, a game featuring the top 30 gradating high school players from around the entire Philippines,? said Altamirano. ?It will be the first chance for everyone in the country to see the future stars f Philippine basketball playing together on the same court. Interestingly, the idea for this event was inspired by the tremendous success of the SEAOIL All Star program run only in Bacolod City last year.? Due to the success of the All Star balloting program run only in Bacolod last year, SEAOIL will add in four other cities which will run an All Star balloting campaign.
