PhilBoxing.com

BACOLOD CITY - As the City of Smiles celebrates its Maskarra Festival, the URCC, the Philippines? Premiere Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion, brings the best fight cards to ever hit the Visayan Region will be hosted by Bacolod City tomorrow at the L? Fisher Hotel.

The event will feature the best in the country competing against Visayas? best fighters.

In the main event, Visayan Pinweight Champion Victor ?the Gladiator? Torre (DEFTAC Bacolod) defends his title against Wushu Superstar Ruel Catalan (Iloilo Alliance).

Torre, eager to solidify his reign as the champ, managed a split-decision win over Ruel in their last fight. Meanwhile, Ruel will try to prove that his split decision loss Torre was a mistake.

As Torre boasts his upper hand in grappling and submission, Ruel is the better striker. Thus, making this fight more exiting with a classic striker versus a grappler.

In the co-main event, Visayan Bantamweight Champion Leonard ?The One? Delarmino (CaPanay MMA) will try to end the 3-fight winning streak of Rex ?T-Rex? Delara (Tinagan Warriors).

Rex is undefeated in boxing and used to be a Wushu champion but has been successful in the MMA. He holds a decision victory against the champion in an underground MMA tournament.

Delarmino masters Muay Thai and remains undefeated in the URCC.

Both are very experienced fighters and both posses deadly knockout power.

Meanwhile, in the super fight, feared knockout artist in both the kickboxing world and MMA, Agustin ?The Demolisher? Delarmino (CaPanay MMA) will be finally test his skills against the country?s No.3 Pinweight Alvin ?Sindikato? Ramirez (Yaw Yan Buhawi).

Ramirez is extremely popular in the MMA community in Manila where he is a well-known for finishing fights, either by submission or knockout. He has never been stopped and prefers to go toe to toe.

On his part, Agustin stood to his nickname as a relentless and eager to crush his opponents.

Both fighters are fancy strikers and they?ll slug it out to get closer to the URCC Championship.

Also featured in the fight night are former URCC Lightweight Champion Carl ?The Virus? Sabeniano (Hybrid Yaw Yan) takes on ground-and-pound specialist Richie ?Rich? Redman (Red Dungeon).

Also seeing action is MMA veteran and Ilonggo Roldan ?Iron Man? Cartajena (Hybrid Yaw Yan/Ssp) will be fighting in his hometown. He has been fighting in Manila for a while and garnered a lot of experience in his career with multiple tricks up his sleeves.

His opponent, Arvin ?Iron Man? Baldelovar (Passi City MMA) comes off a great win via knockout against his last opponent.

With both fighters in great condition, this fight might end early in a devastating manner.

The event is presented by Colt 45 ?The Strong Beer for Real Men? (Official Beer of the URCC) in cooperation with L? Fisher Hotel, Smart Telecommunications, Chicken Deli and THI Creatives.

Media partners are Killer Bee 106.3, Solar Sports, ABS-CBN, Island Living Channel, SKT Digital and Headrush Productions.
