Sulaiman's letter to Ronnie Nathanielsz.
Dear Ronnie;
I thought that I should mention to you the impact that Manny made in Mexico City ; more than 50,000 people stood for hours at the Monument of the Revolution waiting for the announced press conference ; no one has ever before had such an attendance .
Manny has become a Mexican hero, even when he has defeated so many Mexicans and only Eric Morales beat him once.
Most people became very disappointed because the administrators of the event only took for a few minutes with Manny and Juan Manuel (Marquez) in a little ring built in front of where the conference was supposed to be held, but immediately they left the place, while people stayed waiting to see the boxers, unsuccessfully-
The Ambassador of the Philippines was present at the event; Manny was very nice to me, when he Walked up the stairs for the place of the conference, he walked to meet me and gave me a hug.
It impressed me, to see his show of friendship and esteem, as he was not like that to anybody else.
