POVETKIN-CHAGAEV WBA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT ON AKTV ON FRIDAY

The battle for the vacant WBA heavyweight title which became vacant after Wladimir Klitschko was elevated to ?super champion? status following his unanimous decision win over Britain?s David Haye last month will be telecast on AKTV IBC Channel 13 from 6:00 p.m. ? 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
Russia?s Alexander Povetkin , the 2004 Olympic heavyweight champion defeated Ruslan Chagaev of Uzbekistan who held the WBA title from 2007-2009 in a fight where Povetkin recovered after being rattled in the sixth round .
Povetkin was undefeated going into the fight in Erfurt, Germany with a record of 21-0 with 15 knockouts while Chagaev had a record of 27-1-1 with 17 knockouts.
Fight fans who follow the action will be able to gauge the strength and the skill of Povetkin who becomes the mandatory challenger to the giant Klitschko.
In fact Povetkin?s trainer Teddy Atlas said after the fight "I want to think about Povetkin and this title ... we'll think about Klitschko some other time."
