TELMEX GALA CARD FIGHTERS ON THE SCALES PhilBoxing.com Thu, 25 Aug 2011 Daniel ?The Tremendous One? Estrada, Daniel Evangelista, Carlos Zarate Jr and Carlos ?The Prince? Cuadras, who are part of the undercard of the great ?Ring Telmex Gala Card?, scheduled to be held on September 24th, at Foro Polanco of Mexico City, and featuring WBC Lightflyweight world champion, Adrian ?The Confessor? Hernandez in the main event, had their first fight against the scale in what was the thirty-day pre-weigh-in, and they registered the following weights: Daniel ?The Tremendous One? Estrada 153.4 pounds, Daniel Evangelista 145 pounds, Carlos Zarate Jr. 144.6 pounds,Carlos ?The Prince? Cuadras 123.4 pounds, Luis ?The Small Rooster? Ceja 118.8 pounds,Gilberto ?The Southpaw? Ramirez 174.1 pounds and Felipe Orucuta 130.0 pounds. At the end of the weigh-in, Carlos ?The Prince? Cuadras made the following remark from Japan, where he is carrying out his preparation for the ?Ring Telmex Gala Card?: ?I am very happy about going back to Mexico to fight once again, and show my people the great advancement I have achieved here in Japan, that is why I want to thank the World Boxing Council, Telmex and my promoter Mr. Honda for giving me the opportunity to fight in my country that I miss so much?. On the other hand, Daniel ?The Tremendous One? Estrada, who is returning to the first levels of boxing, remarked : ?It is a big commitment to be part of this anniversary card of Ring Telmex, reason for which I feel very motivated to achieve a new victory and again have a shot at a title as soon as possible?. In the main event of the ?Ring Telmex Gala Card?, Adrian ?The Confessor? Hernandez will put on the line his WBC Light flyweight world title for the first time, when he faces Gideon Buthelezi, of South Africa.  |
