MASYADORS IN VEGAS: DONAIRE JR. VS. MONTIEL!

PhilBoxing.com

East Coast, USA ? The American way of betting according to Bodog.com, the challenger Donaire Jr. is -220 while the champion Montiel is +180.

In other words, if you bet for the champion your hard earned $100 will win $180. If you bet for Donaire Jr. your $220 will win only $100.

This is the formula if you bet for Montiel: X=P(180) / 100; where P is your Principal (pohonan) and X is your winnings. Say you bet $777, that would be X=777(180) / 100, winnings will be a whooping $1398.6.

For Donaire, the formula is: X=P(100) / 220; P is the Principal of course and x will be the winnings. Lets say you are a Donaire fan, and you bet $666, X=666(100) / 220, you will only win $302.7. Not bad hey!

Behind the numbers:

Donaire Jr (28): 25-1-0-17KOs
KO rating: 66%
TKO?d Luis Maldonado in 8
A unanimous decision win against Rafael Concepcion.

Montiel (31): 44-2-2-34
KO rating 77%
TKO?d Luis Maldonado in 3
KO?s Rafael Concepcion in 3

Chances:

Donaire Jr:
Use jab and maximize the ring.
Stay focus and be coward.

He?s afraid to get hit, and that makes him very dangerous. That?ll make him throw those quick left hooks and straight so you can?t touch him.

Montiel:
Identify targets. Identify Nonito?s weaknesses.
Head butt Nonito?s left jab.
Conquer mid section, the breast area. Nonito?s sparmates were told not hit those area.
Effective attack, cut the ring, make the fight in the ropes or in the corner.
Go deep rounds.

If this a cockfighting in Carlock Mahayahay Cockpit, I?ll put my small hard earned money to the champion just because on paper he?s not really that behind. If my $777 (P33,877.2) can win $1398.6 (P60.978.96), why not right?

Oh!BeerTime!!!
On the same date, Feb. 19, it is the NBA All Star weekend? my picks: Gibson for the 3-pt shootout (we should give Cavs some light), monstrous dunk of Griffin will clip him as the next Dunking King... I?ll bet East will top the West? if Melo will be sound, then maybe the West will win, Kobe and Kevin needs Melo to face LeBron, Wade and Dwight? Alexander is out for Manny sweepstakes, that makes Bradley out too, both guys don?t have power, they just stay in 140lbs and feast with Khan, Judah, etc? that make November ?after Manny?s win? a Berto fight that will really make sense? DeLa Hoya should face Junior a good match up and lots of history? against Delahoya, Margarito, Clottey, Hatton, Cotto who are these guys? These guys are more of a brawler, and Pacquiao?s fave dessert are brawlers? Marquez and Mosley their common denominators are they know how to box, because Marquez knows how to box, he survived Tsunamis Pacquiao? so my 90 deg angle is, coming May 7 is more entertaining fight than those of Cotto, Margarito et al because Mosley will give Manny a new dimension whom Manny never seen on his 5 previous fights? and Mosley should take Manny?s advice to train hard coz he don?t wanna be like his former business partner quitting in his stool with a lonely right eye only open.

My Dad was a retired Police Captain, he early retired late 90?s, Philippine government slashed his retirement almost 50% because they/head office in Manila said that the budget for the retirees were realigned to a more important matters. Is this why high ranking Police investigation very hot right now?... what I did? I promised myself not to work in Philippines. But I enjoyed watching our boxers still. Only the good ones though, I mean the good hearted ones. Not the hypocrite ones.
