PACQUIAO SHOWS OFF OLD FORM IN LAST MITT SESSION WITH ROACH By Ed de la Vega, DDS PhilBoxing.com Fri, 12 Nov 2010  Grapevine, Texas: (Thursday November, 11th) Manny Pacquiao put up a show for a select few media people and guests at the special ring erected at the convention center area of the Gaylord Texan Resort. Those who were present were privileged to see the true old form of the Filipino fighting Congressman that allowed him to defeat several of the top-notched fighters that were placed before him in the past several years. ?My God? said a guest, Frank Lastra of Garden Groove, CA who flew all the way from sunny California to this vast and wide open State called Texas to see a live Pacman fight. ?Pacquiao really packs a huge punch.? But then again, what Lastra saw was nothing to the old timers who has seen Pacquiao do his routines before. Pacquiao is now in peak form and if Margarito does not come to the ring truly ready, he will be in for a very short night. Reports indicate that Margarito and Rios had apologized for their poor taste antics that went on the internet a few days ago. But to a few who were there watching Pacquiao as he did the mitts with Roach, the apology meant nothing. ?The damage is done,? one pundit said ?and no amount of apology will rectify what was said.? Roach for his part reportedly has placed the issue on the back burner so things have settled back a bit. But that does not mean that people have forgotten. Yes, Team Pacquiao by nature is such. They are forgiving and do not harbor any ill will against others - even those that maligned them and insulted them to the hilt. However, once Pacquiao and Margarito meet in the ring, things will be different. Pacquiao is not vengeful. But he certainly is very much aware of what others say about him or his team. And if by chance those that do such nasty stuff gets on the ring with him, generally they pay in a huge way. Thus when the bell rings on Saturday at the cavernous Cowboys Stadium Margarito better be ready. If not, he will be in for a well deserved beating for being disrespectful of people, particularly those with disabilities like good ole? Freddie Roach.
