Boxing Enthusiasts Will Enjoy an Action Packed Month with a Full Bout Schedule

NEW YORK (Nov. 5, 2010) ? Tecate, cerveza con car?cter, is turning up the dial this November with ?Tecate Knockout Month,? in support of the upcoming vigorous boxing schedule featuring headlining marquee fighters, championship bouts and the best from up-and-coming stars. Boxing fanatics can expect continuous televised fight coverage every Friday and Saturday throughout the month with eight major events and countless rounds presenting knockdown, knockout action.

?The action packed excitement isn?t limited to just televised fights, enthusiasts can enjoy boxing in a whole new way through Tecate?s interactive grassroots campaign that puts them closer to the ring than ever before,? said Felix Palau, vice president of marketing for Tecate. ?All across the country and in fight markets, adults 21 and older will be rewarded with premium offers like mail-in rebates, ticket upgrades, boxing themed giveaways and promotional events at local retail sites.?

?Tecate Knockout Month? kicks-off on November 6 with an East Coast-West Coast showdown for the most adrenaline-charged fight. The Puerto Rican undefeated titlist Juan Manuel ?JuanMa? Lopez faces off against Mexico?s Rafael Marquez for the featherweight championship at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Residents will enjoy the Tecate Champs Zone featuring a mobile boxing ring that will visit 10 retail locations weeks prior to the J.M. Lopez vs. R. Marquez fight. There, adult consumers can channel their inner ?Tecate Champion? as they pose alongside Chicas Tecate to celebrate in victory. That same night in Newark, NJ, Zab Judah confronts Lucas Matthysse; Tecate will paint the Prudential Center red with promotional display materials to support the fight.

The next stop is Cowboys Stadium in Dallas where residents won?t miss seeing Tecate?s explosive promotional campaign for the highly anticipated November 13 World Super Welterweight Championship fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito.

On fight day, fans can meet some of boxing?s most prolific fighters at autograph sessions located at the Tecate Boxing Fan Zone in Parking Lot 4 of Cowboys Stadium. Participating boxers in past promotions have included Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Jorge Arce. The event will include a live concert by the popular Mexican band, ?Banda MS,? an appearance from the popular radio personality Piol?n, interactive boxing games and text-to-win and text-to-upgrade ticket promotions hosted by Chicas Tecate.

To spread the fight fever nationwide and provide access to fans everywhere for the Pacquiao vs. Margarito event, Tecate is offering adults 21-and-older up to $25-off the HBO PPV event with the purchase of Tecate or Tecate Light 12-pack or larger. In select states, no purchase is necessary to redeem the mail-in-rebate including AL, AR, CT, HI, KY, ME, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OK, TX, UT and WV. For exact rebate values and regulations, please visit www.Tecate.com.

Aficionados of the sport are rewarded yet again on Thanksgiving Day Weekend with the much awaited battle between Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Michael Katsidis. Tecate is extending event access to residents in AZ, CA, CO, NV, NM, OR, WA and UT, with a $20 mail-in-rebate towards 2-months of HBO Premium Cable.
