ARGENTINA'S LUCAS MATTHYSSE RECEIVES ADVICE ON STRATEGY FOR BEATING ZAB JUDAH AND VOTE OF CONFIDENCE FROM COUNTRYMAN CARLOS BALDOMIR

Matthysse Faces Judah On November 6 At Prudential Center In Newark, New Jersey & Live On HBO's Boxing After Dark

LOS ANGELES (October 26, 2010) - The November 6 NABO junior welterweight championship and IBF #2 position elimination bout between former World Champion Zab Judah (39-6, 27 KO's) and Lucas Matthysse (27-0, 25 KO's) at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey is less than two weeks away, and Matthysse's countryman and former Welterweight World Champion Carlos "Tata" Baldomir, who defeated Judah by unanimous decision in January 2006, has been giving his fellow Argentine advice on how to beat the Brooklyn native and thinks Matthysse will win the fight.

"Lucas is stronger than me and has the power to hurt Zab at any point during the fight," said Baldomir. "I think he will eventually knock him out if he takes control of fight from the first round. He has the power and heart to be victorious on November 6."

The 27-year-old Matthysse, who hails from Trelew, Argentina, has been training in Oxnard, Calif. and is sparring with southpaw fighters such as current WBC Middleweight World Champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez, agrees with Baldomir's comments adding, "I'm coming to win. I'm very motivated for this fight and have worked extremely hard in camp. I want to bring the victory and belt back to my country."

"Lucas is looking tremendous and working with a lot of passion and dedication," said Matthysse's trainer Luis Dionicio "Cuty" Barrera. "He knows this is a great opportunity to fight a former World Champion and he's ready to put everything on the table. He's in great spirits and ready for November 6."

Zab Judah vs. Lucas Matthysse, a ten round NABO junior welterweight championship and IBF #2 position elimination bout, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions, Main Events and Super Judah Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and DeWalt Tools. Former Three-Time World Champion Robert Guerrero takes on 2004 U.S. Olympian and top rated contender Vicente Escobedo in a ten round vacant WBO Intercontinental lightweight in the evening's co-featured bout. The HBO Boxing After Dark telecast begins at 11:15pm ET / PT.

Tickets priced at $53, $78, $103 and $253 (ringside) can be purchased at Prudential Center Box Office, by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or www.Prucenter.com.
