The six bout card featuring the hottest young prospects on the east coast will be headlined by the ten round featherweight matchup between unbeaten rising superstar Jorge "King" Diaz of New Brunswick, NJ facing seasoned former world title challenger Emmanuel Lucero of Mexico City, Mexico. Now 31, the former New York Golden Gloves champion is desperate to attain professional world title glory before the sands of time run out on him. "I'm looking forward to this opportunity to shine in the main event," says Diaz, aged 22. "Lucero is a good step-up in competition for me and I know he will bring out the best in me. He's fought a better level of opponents than I have so I know he'll be a tough fight." Also featured will be highly-touted junior middleweight prospect Glen Tapia of Passaic, NJ in a six-round bout against an opponent to be named. Tapia, aged 20, has a record of 7-0 (5 KO) and will train for this bout in Baguio City, Philippines as the chief sparring partner of the world's best boxer, Manny Pacquiao. Bayonne, NJ's favorite son Bobby Rooney Jr. returns to the ring after nearly a year of inactivity to face an opponent to be named later. Rooney, 11-3-1 (6 KO), has been a fixture on the New Jersey boxing circuit over the past decade. His fight is scheduled for six rounds. Heavyweight prospect Amir Mansour of Wilmington, DE will look to add another big knockout to his record when he faces an opponent to be named shortly.
