"FIGHT NIGHT CLUB" IS STACKED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM FOR TONIGHT'S SHOW AT LA LIVE'S CLUB NOKIA PhilBoxing.com Fri, 25 Jun 2010 DON'T MISS THE ACTION LIVE! LOS ANGELES, June 24 - "Fight Night Club" continues to deliver top boxing action to the Los Angeles boxing fans with another action-packed show featuring unbeatens Frankie Gomez, Jessie Vargas and Jamie Kavanagh. In the main event, East Los Angeles' highly-touted amateur star Frankie Gomez (3-0, 3 KO's) makes his fourth pro and second consecutive "Fight Night Club" appearance in a four round welterweight match against Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico's Jaime Orrantia (13-26-5, 4 KO's). The co-main event will see Las Vegas' Jessie Vargas (10-0, 5 KO's) return to "Fight Night Club" to face 11-year pro Ernesto Zavala (21-4, 9 KO's) of Burbank, California in a six round welterweight bout. Opening the televised portion of the card will be 140-pound Irish phenom Jamie Kavanagh (1-0, 1 KO) of Los Angeles against Fairfeild's Luis Sanchez (0-1) in a four rounder. Also in action, 2008 U.S. Olympian and unbeaten former amateur star Gary Russell Jr. (9-0, 6 KO's) squares off against Las Vegas' Rodrigo Aranda (8-12-2, 2 KO's) in a six round featherweight bout. Rounding out the night will be a bout featuring Lancaster junior middleweight Roberto Reyes (1-0, 1 KO), who battles fellow unbeaten Clint Coronel (3-0-1, 1 KO) of San Jose, California. "Fight Night Club" is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and AEG and is sponsored by DeWalt Tools, McDonald's, Budweiser, Powerade and USTREAM. The series will return to L.A. LIVE's Club Nokia on July 22, August 26, September 30, October 28 and November 18. The fights will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net (FSN) and its regional sports network affiliates (check local listings) and streamed live online at www.ustream.com and www.RingTV.com at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. PT and the first bell rings at 7:00 p.m. PT.
