Denver Cuello fights in a tune up match before title bout with WBA minimumweight champ Roman Gonzales

PhilBoxing.com

WBC International Minimumweight Champion Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello-Singwangcha will fight in a tune-up match with Philippine Rated No. 5 Nelson Llanos of Butuan City. The event is being promoted by the Jaro International Promotion in cooperation with Singwangcha International Promotions of Thailand, and will be held at the Angono Sports Center, Angono Rizal on July 2, 2010.

The event is thanksgiving gift of the newly elected Governor Junjun Ynares of Rizal, Rizal 1st District Congressman Joel Duavit and Mayor Gerry Calderon of Angono Rizal.

Cuello recently knocked out Juan Hernandez in the third round of their fight last month in Mexico but lost via disqualification after he threw a blow to the Mexican when the latter was already down on the canvass. The Filipino pug is being groomed to challenge WBA Minimumweight Champ Roman Gonzales of Nicaragua in an undercard of the Erik Morales fight which has been moved from July 17 to a yet to be announced date.

Morales was at the ringside during the Cuello-Hernandez bout and was impressed by the showing of the aggressive Filipino. He approached Cuello?s Manager Aljoe Jaro after the fight and expressed his interest of co-managing Denver. Aljoe Jaro decided to come up with the tune-up fight while waiting for the new date of the Erik Morales fight where the Cuello vs Gonzales fight will be in the undercard.

Jaro is also set to depart for Puerto Rico on July 7, 2010 to support his stable boxer Bernabe Concepcion on his fight against WBO Featherweight Champ Juan Manuel Lopez. He will drop by Mexico on his way back to meet with Box Latino Promoter Erik Morales and discuss the details of the Cuello-Gonzales Championship fight.

Aljoe Jaro and his good friend Thai Promoter Naris Singwangcha are also busy in putting up the Jaro-Singwangcha Cup which is a Junior Bantamweight Professional Boxing Tournament aimed at discovering the next junior bantamweight sensation from the Philippines.

The Cuello vs. Llanos fight will be an action packed event because of the aggressive styles of both warriors. The promoters have also lined up a good quality of undercard matches which will feature undefeated super flyweight Boydondee Pumar of Jaro Stable vs Christian Maas of Mandaluyong; Marvin Tampos of Jaro Stable vs. Jun Eraham of Mondejar Stable; Former RP Jr. Bantamweight Champ Richard Olisa vs. Jericho Hizon; Rey Quambot vs Ruther del Castillo; Benedick Fontines vs. Jovie Merca; Lionel Legada vs Leonard Talisic; Rex Singwangcha vs. Benedict Alolod and Jomar Fajardo vs. Dennis Luamacang.
