'Guerrero' Gesta battles Talape

One of the country's fastest-rising ring prodigies, Mercito 'Guerrero' Gesta, is set to lock horns with top-ranked RP superflyweight Jun Talape when their paths cross in a 10-round duel on December 16 in Kidapawan City.
This was relayed to Philboxing.com by no less than North Cotabato Governor Emmanuel Pinol, who will be putting up the show, to determine who will be the country's next 115-lb champ.
Current RP superfly boss Eric Barcelona is set to vie for the vacant PABA title on the said date as the main event, reported GAB Commissioner Alex Paglumotan, who is currently in the thick of things to make this a reality following his successful attendance of the recent WBA Convention in Seoul, Korea.
Gesta is unbeaten in 8 fights with just 1 draw, which was his most recent fight against 85-fight veteran Rey Llagas.
