Ana Julaton to Face Maria Villalobos at Rumble at Rama XII

PhilBoxing.com

Two Warriors to Battle for the WBO Super Bantamweight World Title June 30th

TORONTO, ON (Thursday, May 27, 2010) ? There?s no rest for the weary when it comes to two-time world champion Ana ?The Hurricane? Julaton (6-2-1, 1 KO).

Fresh off 10 rounds of bloody warfare against Lisa Brown this past March, Julaton faces another elite challenge on June 30th, when she steps back into the Casino Rama ring to battle Mexico?s Maria Elena Villalobos (6-3, 3 KO?s) for the vacant WBO Super Bantamweight world title at Rumble at Rama XII.

Even after signing Julaton to a worldwide promotional deal in the wake of her valiant, yet losing, effort, against Brown at Rumble at Rama XI, Orion Sports Management President Allan Tremblay, is eager to get the determined beauty back in to the ring for another stiff test.

?When you get to the level that Ana?s at, there are no easy fights. This is a legitimate world title she?s fighting for. If she wants to wear that belt, she has to beat someone who can fight,? Tremblay said.

?I wouldn?t accept anything less, Ana?s fans wouldn?t accept anything less. And most telling of all, Ana wouldn?t accept anything less.?

Like Julaton, Villalobos is coming off a grueling 10 round defeat of her own, dropping a unanimous decision to the feared WBC Super Bantamweight champion Argentine Marcela Ariana Acuna on April 10th, in Buenos Aries.

?You want to talk about two hungry, desperate fighters,? Tremblay said.

?You?ve got it right here with Julaton and Villalobos.?

While desperation is the fuel needed to power a fighter to greatness, a healthy dose of sage advice in the corner doesn?t hurt either. And on June 30th, Ana will have that in spades as one of the greatest trainers of all-time, Freddie Roach, will lead Julaton into battle against Villalobos.

?Anybody who knows boxing will tell you Freddie is the best there is at teaching and honing a fighter,? Tremblay said.

?And we?re confident that Roach can help take Ana to the next level.?

Rumble at Rama XII will be promoted by Orion Sports Management, in association with Casino Rama.

Tickets for Rumble at Rama XII are $125, $75, $50 and $25 and are available in-person at the Casino Rama Box Office, and at all TicketMaster locations, by calling (416) 870-8000 and online at www.casinorama.com. And will also be available at select locations in the Filipino community. Ticket prices do not include applicable taxes or service charges.
