RUBILLAR-UBATAY FIGHT IN IBC 13 RESETS SUNDAY NIGHT

Initial airing of weekly "Elorde Boxing Specials"
DUE to inevitable technical problem the “Kulog sa Elorde” card which features the impressive third round knockout win of world rated Juanito Rubillar (37-9-7, 17 KOs) against his veteran compatriot Edwin Ubatay that should be aired Friday night will be shown on Sunday.
The dynamic duo of Marc Roces of the Jemah Television and Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde Jr., who co-produces the program dubbed “Elorde Boxing Specials” announced yesterday that the time of the program remains at primetime from 8-9 p.m tonight over IBC Channel 13.
The bout took place on rainy Saturday night as main event of the card of neophyte promoter Edmund Jose, son-in-law of late Flash Elorde, at Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Paranaque City.
Rubillar, rated No. 2 by the WBC, is Asia’s top prospect to win the WBC 108-lb world title. He is preparing for his 3rd WBC light flyweight title shot as he holds the right to face the winner between current champ Eric Ortiz of Mexico and Fil-Am challenger Brian Viloria on Sept. 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Included as appetizer in the one-hour program with veteran commentators Rey Danseco and Dennis Principe at ringside are the impressive stoppage wins of newcomer Raymond Sermona (1-0, 1 KO), a hard-hitting 5-foot-4 super bantam with 33 inches reach, and 5-foot-5 undefeated flyweight Drian Francisco (3-0, 2 KOs0, prot?g? of former two-time world flyweight champ Erbito Salavarria.
