Israeli GM Emil Sutovsky, Romanian GM Liviu Nisipeanu, former World Championships finalist and local bet GM Anish Giri toppled their respective rivals. Sutovsky downed Dutch GM Dimitri Reinderman, Nisipeanu crushed Finish GM Tomi Nyback while Giri hammered Indian GM Pentala Harikrishna.
