WILL BOOM-BOOM RISE AGAIN?

PhilBoxing.com

The countdown has began. The day of reckoning is about to unfold.

With barely four days before revelation - all eyes are focused on the man of the hour, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista. Does he still have what it takes to bring him back to prominence?

After an 11 month hiatus, the 22 years old Bautista climbs to the ring on Friday, October 16th, 2009 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino to do battle with the tough and durable Indonesian Champion Marangin “Dinamita” Marbun.

In contrast, Marbun has had five fights this year – winning all and has not lost his last 8 fights and was stopped only but once in 25 fights. Will Bautista accomplish what 24 others have failed in stopping Marbun?

The WBC International Interim Championship dubbed as “Hamon sa Kampeon” also topbills two of ALA Gym fast rising prospects, the promising 17 years old Jason Pagara (18-1, 10 ko’s) who trade blows with Decha Bankluaygym (29-9-3,16 ko’s) of Thailand while battle-tested Czar Amonsot (19-3-1,11 ko’s) will tangle with WBO Asia Pacific Lightweight Champion, Jesus Muzaka (16-7,8 KOs) of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The third featured encounter is between world-rated WBO Asia Pacific Champion Pramuansak Posuwan (45-3-1, 24 kos) of Kokietgym who will test the mettle of fast –rising Marjun Yap (11-2,5 KO’s) of Cagayan de Oro.

The collision between the brawling Bautista and the iron-jaw Marbun will be covered by the giant network ABS CBN and will be telecast LIVE in Channel 23 at 9 PM.

The Pacific Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino will usher the first bout at 5 pm with two preliminary bouts before Jason Pagara and Decha Kokietgym bout which will start at 6 pm on the dot. The Amonsot-Muzaka fight will follow thereafter.

The public is advised to be at the venue at 5 P.M and be seated to watch the first of the four headliners which will start at 6 PM featuring the Pagara-Decha Bankluaygym encounter.

Tickets are now on Sale at Php 1,500 for the VIP 1st row; Php 1,250 for the VIP 2nd row; VIP 3rd row at Php 1,000; Ringside at Php 500 and Php 250 for Ballroom and Balcony.
