Dessa, an award-winning entertainer from the Philippines, will sing the Philippines National Anthem at Top Rank’s ‘Pinoy Power 2′ which features ‘Filipino Flash’ Nonito Donaire against Rafael Concepcion. Lupang Hiniran is the national anthem of the Philippines. Its music was composed in 1898 by Julian Felipe, with lyrics in Spanish adapted from the poem Filipinas, written by Jose Palma in 1899.

Nonito Donaire will wind up his training in early August at the Top Rank gym in Las Vegas. Concepcion has been training in Panama. Concepcion and his team will arrive into Las Vegas on Sunday, August 9. Both will be at Top Rank’s final press conference on Wednesday, August 12 at the Hard Rock.

Featherweight challenger Bernabe Concepcion of the Philippines has been training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Ca. to get set for his title bout against Steven Luevano of LaPuente, Ca. Bernabe is trained by Freddie Roach, Luevano by Robert Garcia. “Freddie Roach is the #1 trainer in boxing today,” said Garcia. “This is my first time in a fight against him. I’m working very hard with Steven and I think this result will also reflect how I am doing as a trainer. This is why this is such a very important fight.” Luevano vs. Concepcion will be in the ring just before the Donaire vs Concepcion fight on Top Rank’s Pinoy Power 2 on August 15.
