NIETES DEFEATS RAMIREZ BY UD; RAMIREZ DOWN 4 TIMES

Word coming out from Oaxaca, Mexico from the just concluded Nietes-Ramirez title showdown indicate that WBO minimumweight champion Donnie Nietes from Murcia, Negros Occidental, successfully defended his title against local boy Erik Ramirez.
The report said Ramirez was down four times in the contest, in the first, fourth, ninth and the twelfth rounds.
