PAGARA RETURNS TO ACTION ON FEB. 21
PhilBoxing.com Sat, 14 Feb 2009

ALA Promotions in association with Summit Natural Drinking Water unfolds its monthly boxing tour with another slambang event in Cagayan de Oro City, Plaza Lapazan on February 21, 2009.
Heading the cast is the Philippine lightweight championship headliner between defending title-holder Jason Pagara of Cagayan de Oro and knock-out artist, JR Sollano of Wakee boxing stable of Cebu.
The 16 year wonder boy Pagara currently holds the WBO Asia Pacific title and the Philippines lightweight diadem and holds an enviable fight record of (16 (9 KO?s);0;1) and has stopped three of his last four opponents. He will stake his throne against knock out artist, JR Sollano of Wakee Salud Stable of Cebu City (W-14 (KO?s 10)-9-0).
Pagara?s manager Brgy. Capt. Mario Eronico predicts ?the fight will not go the distance and I believe my boy will be the last man standing. He cannot afford to lose face in front of his hometown fans?.
While Pagara?s camp exude confidence, the fist-of-stone Sollano who recently stopped his foe in Japan in just 2 rounds last month is not worried of any hometown decision as he believes the fight will not last the distance.
Two interesting co-main events featuring another hometown boy, Marjohn Yap tangles with Rodel Veronque of Kaami?o Stable and Jerson Mancio will test the mettle of Rocky Sardido of Davao del Sur.
A total of 42 exciting rounds of boxing will be the stellar presentations of Summit Natural Drinking Water in a ?Free-to-the-Public? fight night tour of boxing.
