?IT?S LIKE I?M AT WAR WHEN I FIGHT? - KATSIDIS

PhilBoxing.com

And that?s exactly what the boxing fans can expect when MICHAEL ?The Great? KATSIDIS slugs it out with ANGEL HUGO ?El Tren? RAMIREZ on January 31, 2009 at the Cebu Coliseum for the WBO vacant ASIA-PACIFIC LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE.

When Australian brawler Katsidis made his US debut under the Bernard Hopkins ? Winky Wright undercard last July 2007 he had a budding reputation as an all-out fighter.

The 2000 member of the Australian Olympic Team who walks to the ring in a Spartan garb had his debut in a rock ?em, sock ?em bloody battle against Czar Amonsot of the Philippines that turned out to be even more exciting than when he defeated Earl of Britain. Katsidis scored knockdowns in the 2nd and 10th round and won via a Unanimous Decision in another fight of the year candidate. He took massive punishment ? 3 nasty cuts and emerged looking like he had been attacked with a meat cleaver.

After his two ( 2 ) losses in the hands of Joel Casamayor and Julio Diaz in 2008, Katsidis is now ready to redeem himself and be the well-known SPARTAN gladiator ready to go to war on top of the ring.

?I?m an all-out fighter. I give all. When there?s nothing left, I always find more and go that one extra step. You have to be physically strong to do it, like I do it and mentally strong. I?m in there to get the business done. I?m a fighter. There?s no secret to my style. I get out there and get the job done. That?s what I am all about. People will like to see me fight. Fans know when I fight, I bring real excitement. I go to war, put my life on it. I?m real in that way. I just want to win the fight.?

SGG Sports Promotions is not only having one WBO regional title but four. To give support to Katsidis ? Ramirez bout, Gello-ani has lined up the three (3) young and promising young Ms matador who will defend their WBO regional belt.

First, there is CISO ?Kid Terrible? MORALES vs. Pichitchoke Singmanasak for the WBO Oriental Jr. Featherweight Title defense; then ANTHONY ?Rocky? MARCIAL vs. Vacharakrit Senayan for the WBO Oriental Jr. Lightweight Title defense and MARVIN ?Marvelous? SONSONA vs. Liempetch Sor Veerapol for the WBO Asia-Pacific Youth Flyweight defense title. This is ably supported by two undefeated ROLANDO MAGALLANO & MARVIN MABAIT for the 6 and 4 rds respectively.

This much-anticipated exciting boxing event is proudly brought to you by SGG Sports Promotions in cooperation with the giant television ABS-CBN and RINGSTAR PROMOTIONS with the support of CITY GOVERNMENT OF CEBU and SPORTSBET.

Gates will be opened at 4:00 in the afternoon and the bouts will start at 5:00.

Tickets are reasonably priced at Sponsor ? P 1,000.00 - Ringside ? P 500.00 ? Lower box ? P 250.00 - Upperbox ? P 150 and Gen. Admission ? P 100.00.
