GENERAL SANTOS CITY ? By unanimous decision, Mepranum of Maasim town in Sarangani outclassed Cesar Lopez of El Paso, Texas in an undercard fight of the Pacquiao-Dela Hoya Dream Match in Las Vegas on December 6. The Ireneo Miguel Lopez Promotion run by Maasim Mayor Jojo Lopez groomed Mepranum as amateur boxer in 2004 until his shot for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental flyweight title in June, beating the then undefeated Juma Seleman Fundi of Tanzania.
