'THE STING' HEADLINES LAPU-LAPU CARD ON NOV. 16
PhilBoxing.com Sat, 08 Nov 2008

Rodulfo ?THE STING? Sumabong, the undefeated new prospect from RWS Stable who has an impressive record of 6-0-0 with 3 KO?s, will headline the Lapu-lapu City boxing card dubbed as ?THE SUPER 5? for the BIRHEN SA REGLA FIESTA Celebration this coming November 16, 2008, Sunday, starting at 7:00 pm at the Lapu-Lapu Sports Complex in Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
Sumabong is pitted against Daniel Diolan, a veteran with 44 fights to his credit including 5 international fights. This is a 10 round fight and is considered a big test for Sumabong?s young career. He has to prove if he really has a STING to beat his opponents and worthy of his monicker.
According to his manager Rex 'Wakee' Salud, this fight will determine if he has what it takes to be a top contender in this sport. If he passes this this test and beats his opponent, he will be given more local fights to gain more experience before giving him fights outside the country so he can build a name and soon to fight for a world title.
Also in this card is the RWS Super 5, a batch of new boxers with potential skills. The SUPER 5 is composed of Jayson ?Gladiator? Siaton, a hard puncher who will fight Renan Branzuela of Bukidnon, amateur medalist Rob ?GUN? Montero who will duel with Romano Gelig, RJ ?SHARP? Ano-os who will face Ramelo Estra and Renjie ?KILAT? Abendan who will exchange blows with Jerpol Valero, all for 4 rounds.
Three more bouts will open the evening as curtain raisers.
