CHAVEZ JR MAKES NO MISTAKE THIS TIME
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Mon, 03 Nov 2008

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr who was virtually booed out of the ring the last time he fought heavily tattooed Matt "The Predator" Vanda after a hugely controversial split decision win that saw even his father, the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez try to calm the crowd only to get his fair share of boos, made no mistake this time.
Fighting before a far more sympathetic crowd the unbeaten ?Son of the Legend? left no doubt whatsoever in the minds of both the fans and the judges in their much-awaited rematch with an impressive unanimous ten round decision.
The young 22 year old Chavez, a middleweight being clearly built up by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum as a future star methodically piled up the points and didn?t allow the 30 year old Vanda from St. Paul, Minnesota to get into any sort of rhythm, outworking him much of the fight.
All three judges had Chavez a comfortable winner. Richard Houck scored it for Chavez 99-91, Dave Moretti 97-93 and Glenn Trowbridge 98-92.
Chavez upped his unbeaten streak to 38-0-1 with 22 knockouts while Vanda dropped to 39-8 with 22 knockouts.
