DIGOS CITY--WBO no. 15 superbantamweight Ramie Laput and WBO no. 7 junior middleweight Charles Whittaker defeated Phil Angcamor and Jury Noda respectively last night in the co-main event of a card put up by the American Boxing Academy (ABA) Promotions headed by Ken Smith.
Laput used his superior all-around skills and stamina to outlast and outpunch Angcamor over ten rounds, this following his impressive win over Thailand's Mongkolchai Singmanassak early this month for the WBO Asia Pacific interim superbantam crown.
The win improved Laput's record to 33-3, 16 KO's.
Charles "The Killa" Whittaker of the Cayman Islands did not disappoint as he hammered Jury Noda right at the get-go, scoring a second-round TKO in the scheduled 10-rounder.
