Ganoy (25-10-2, 20 KO?s), the hard-hitting Filipino, will face former Ghanian boxer now fighting out of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Ray ?Emperor? Narh (22-1, 19 KO?s)in an eliminator for the No. 2 spot in the IBF lightweight rankings. Well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani, who is helping Ganoy along with international matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz, said the the eliminator between Ganoy who is ranked No. 13 and Narh who is No. 15 is being held because none of the fighters rated above them were available for one reason or another. South Africa?s Ali Funeka recently scored an impressive stoppage of Zahir Raheem in an eliminator for a mandatory crack at Nate Campbell but reports have it that there are problems putting the fight together. Well-known South African promoter Branco Milenkovic informed www.insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that the fight will take place on a December 5 card he is putting together. Ganoy who stands 5?5? will be giving away five inches in height to the 5?10? Narh who is 30 years old while Ganoy is 28. Ganoy is coming off a 2nd round KO of Thailand?s Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat last July 19 in a fight in Cebu while Narh?s last fight according to boxrec.com was on October 30 last year when he scored a 2nd round TKO over Francisco Campos. Mbamba won the WBC International super flyweight championship via a split decision win over Zolile Mbityi on November 24, 2006, successfully defended the title with an 11th round TKO over Pedro Cardenas on August 24, 2007 and a twelve round split decision over Unathi Gqokomo last January 18. Lookmahanak is coming off a hard-fougth twelve round split decision loss to Mexican warrior Jorge Arce last May 17 in a WBC title eliminator.
