Marvelous Marvin Sonsona, 18, who is a product of General Santos City started boxing at the young age of 7 years old who gathered a very impressive 150 plus amateur fights, attaining 5 Gold medals, 10 Silver and 9 Bronze in the nationals and Batang Pinoy Champion of 2002 Puerto Princessa City tournament. He showed a lot of skills winning the WBO Asia Pacific Youth vacant title this past weekend. ?Marvelous Marvin is now 9win ? 0 loss ? 8ko in his professional career and currently the WBO Asia Pacific Youth flyweight champion. With his vast experience in amateur boxing and his aggressive fighting style he is surely bound for stardom," said Gello-ani. Meanwhile, yet another hot youth Manila based prospect, a native of Zamboanga, Anthony ?Rocky? Marcial showed his aggressiveness and power. He made his first appearance in Talisay, Cebu last October 3rd with a third round Technical knockout over tough Thai Thongthai Rajanondh, to win the WBO Oriental Interim super featherweight title. Marcial was an amateur standout with countless national medals, and now has upped his professional record and knockout ratio to a fearsome 10wins-0 loss-9ko.
