WEIGHTS FOR THE 'SAGA IN NAGA' By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Fri, 03 Oct 2008 Cebu City -- The two Thai boxers contesting for the two regional WBO belts for tomorrow's 'Saga in Naga' had to do a retake before making the required weights during the official weighin held at the GAB office here. Mongkolchai Singmanasak who will face ABA boxer Ramie Laput for the WBO Asia-Pacific Interim Superbantam Title, came in a pound over on his first try but made the required of 122 lbs after sweating out in less than an hour. Laput tipped the scales at 121 lbs. Saensaknoi Sor Muangklang who will face Fernando Lumacad of ABA Boxing Gym for the WBO Interim Oriental Flyweight Crown, also came in a pound over at 113 lbs on the first try but returned a bit later to make the required 112 lbs weight limit. Lumacad came in at 110 3/4 lbs. Hot flyweight prospect Marvin Sonsona of General Santos City and Manila-based Joel Rafols both tipped the scales at 111 lbs for their WBO Asia-Pacific Youth Championship bout. For the remaining undercards: Fabio Marfa - 115 lbs vs Ronald Castrodes - 114 1/4 lbs 115 lbs / 8 rounds Reil Mandate - 105 1/2 vs Ryan Tampus - 105 1/2 lbs 105 lbs / 6 rounds Jongwoon Choi - 124 lbs vs Jestoni Pepito - 122 lbs 124 lbs / 4 rounds Rolando Magallano - 126 lbs vs Dizon Dag-ong - 124 1/2 lbs 126 lbs / 4 rounds The weighin was supervised by WBO Vice-President Leon Panoncillo and Rolando Mendoza of the Cebu GAB office.
