ANTILLON IN ANOTHER CRUSHING KO
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sat, 06 Sep 2008

Undefeated super featherweight Urbano Antillon of Mexico has scored another crushing knockout victory, this time over Nigeria ?s Daniel Attah at the Isleta Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The 26 year old Antillon who scored a devastating one round knockout over Bobby Pacquiao, younger brother of Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao last March 13, is expected to move up from his current WBA No. 4 rating and possibly get a title shot.
Antillon who had problems making the weight eventually tipped the scales at the 130 pound limit after three tries. With the impressive win Antillon improved to 24-0 with 17 knockouts, in the process capturing the vacant WBO North American Boxing Organization and the North American Boxing Federation titles.
It was Attah?s second successive stoppage loss having been beaten by undefeated southpaw Mario Santiago (17-0, 13 KO?s) last March 10 in a Caribbean Boxing Federation featherweight title fight. Attah who fights out of Washington D.C. dropped to 24-5-1 with 8 knockouts.
Antillon who finished Pacquiao with a vicious body shot used the same tactics against Attah, driving a cracking left hook to the Nigerian?s body which decked him for the first time in round three.
Attah survived the round but Antillon was all over him at the start of the fourth going for the kill. Two solid uppercuts saw the game Attah slowly drop to the canvas before he shook his head when referee Roy Burke reached the count of nine, indicating it was all over for him. It was 1:13 of round four.
The heavy-handed Mexican was far more impressive than in his last fight against 32 year old journeyman Jose Leandro Cruz on June 6 when Antillon actually overcame a knockdown to hammer out a sixth round TKO.
