TUMBAGA LOSES IN WBC YOUTH TITLE FIGHT

The Philippines Mike Tumbaga has lost by a unanimous ten round decision in a World Boxing Council World Youth featherweight title fight against Thai Tor Silachai in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
With the win the 23 year old Silachai improved to 10-1 with 6 knockouts while Tumbaga, according to boxrec.com dropped to 8-4-2 with no knockouts.
Tumbaga?s lack of knockout victories appears odd considering his nickname is ?Tyson? who was one of the most devastating punchers in boxing.
Thai Tor Silachai is rated No. 40 by the WBC in the 126 pound division. He was coming off a sixth round TKO win over Iran?s Mutus Isadi in Bangkok last April 11 in which he battered the Iranian from the opening bell.
Tumbaga in his last fight scored a ten round decision over Noel Sungahid on May 31 in Baguio City.
