MARQUEZ DECLARES WAR ON BOOM BOOM
PhilBoxing.com Mon, 25 Aug 2008

Mexican toughie, Eden ?Anestesista? Marquez wasted no time in declaring war against the Boholano warrior, Rey ? Boom Boom? Bautista upon his arrival in Cebu yesterday morning.
When asked by ALA Promotions? Marketing Director Chad Ca?ares about his chances against Bautista, the flamboyant Marquez said, ?I have very good chance and I believe I will knock him out.?
This statement was echoed by his manager, Fernando Dominguez who came along to oversee his ?prized-fighter? together with his veteran trainer Edmundo Gaytan.
?I know how Bautista fights. He fought a hard fight against my other boxer, Antonio Meza. Marquez is better and is stronger than Meza. I am sure the fight will not last the distance,? said the confident Dominguez who manages not a few of Mexico?s world class fighters.
Local fight fans will get a first-hand look at the Mexican terminator when he display his ware at the ALA Gym Fight Club at the Banilad Town Center on Wednesday, August 27 at 5:00 p.m together with the Nicaraguan challenger Eddy Castro who will be facing world-champion Donnie Nietes in the same card.
Ticket sales has out-paced the ?Laban Na Banal? extravaganza last month which only confirms the strong public appeal of ?Boom Boom? Bautista and the fight fans confidence of watching another classic war in the ring this coming Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino.
Tickets are available at the following ticket outlets: Island Souvenirs Btq. (2312581), USA Sports Boutique (232-1854), Bisaya Ispisyal (231-2676), ALA Gym in Banilad Town Center (4162011), ALA Gym- Mactan (340-9470) and ALA Promotions office (346-3489).
