TRAFFIC RE-ROUTE FOR ?LABAN NA BANAL? EVENT PhilBoxing.com Sat, 26 Jul 2008 CEBU CITY -- A partial re-routing of traffic will be implemented for the explosive world championship tourney ?Laban Na Banal: Panahon Na!? at the New Cebu Coliseum (NCC) today. ALA Promotions marketing manager and liaison for traffic concerns Chad Ca?ares revealed after a close-door meeting Thursday at 10 AM at the office of Cebu City councilor Jack Jakosalem. Attending the meeting were traffic group chief P/Supt Jonathan Abella, CITOM chief Arnel Tancinco, and mobile patrol and SWAT EOD police chief inspector Arnel Banzon. The segment of Sanciangko Street across from the main gate of the NCC, from the junction with Leon Kilat Street to the corner of Borromeo Street, will be closed for use as parking space for motorist who will be watching the game. The opposing lanes in this segment will be fully used for vehicle parking. All vehicles passing through this segment will be re-directed to take the Leon Kilat Street towards Colon Street, which would remain open for traffic and unavailable for parking. The portion of Borromeo Street, from the Colon-Leon Kilat junction to the Climaco junction will also be closed from traffic. A single-lane parking alongside the NCC block will be reserved for ticket holders. ?We are very grateful for the full support that the Cebu City government extended to ALA Promotions for this historic event. Without that support, it would be difficult for this event to succeed,? said ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer. The boxing extravaganza is produced by ALA Promotions in association with ABS-CBN Sports, Golden Boy Promotions, and the Cebu City Government. Tickets are available at Islands Souvenirs, Bisaya, and USA Sports boutiques in SM City Cebu and Ayala Center Cebu, ALA Gym in Banilad Town Center, Pandelicious in Punta Princesa, Labangon, Marfori Bakeshop Mandaue, and Tita Gwapa Tabunok and Mandaue.
