RED OWL BOXING ANNOUNCES BROADCAST TEAM AND FULL FIGHT CARD FOR THIS FRIDAY NIGHT’S “BOXFEST XVI”

LOS ANGELES (October 7, 2025) — Red Owl Boxing has announced the broadcast team for Boxfest XVI, the latest installment of its acclaimed fight series, taking place Friday, October 10, 2025, at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles and streaming live worldwide on DAZN at 11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT.

Serving as the play-by-play commentator will be renowned boxing voice Corey Erdman, who brings years of experience calling some of the sport’s most memorable moments. Joining Erdman on the broadcast will be two-time world champion and former Showtime Boxing analyst Shawn Porter, providing in-depth ringside analysis and expert perspective throughout the night’s stacked lineup.

Veteran announcer Lupe Contreras will handle in-ring introductions and post-fight announcements, lending his signature energy to the evening’s biggest moments. Rounding out the team, veteran broadcaster Ray Flores will serve as a ringside reporter and guest analyst, providing real-time updates and post-fight interviews throughout the night.

Red Owl Boxing’s debut show in California will feature an explosive main event as Deonte “Lay Em Down” Brown(16-0, 11 KOs) of Morgan City, Louisiana, takes on Grimardi Machuca (17-2, 14 KOs) of Camden, New Jersey, for the WBA Continental Americas Super Featherweight Title.

Also featured is a highly anticipated rematch between Saul “The Beast” Sanchez (21-4, 12 KOs) and Edwin Rodriguez (12-9-2, 5 KOs) in an eight-round bantamweight clash, and the professional debut of 2020 U.S. Olympian Rashida Ellis, who faces seasoned veteran Maria “Polverita” Salinas (27-12-6, 7 KOs) in a six-round featherweight contest.
