The Legacy of Excellence: Hernández Champs those who built GR4NT's gloves, fame and legacy

PhilBoxing.com

For decades, the Hernández family has been synonymous with quality and tradition in the manufacture of boxing gloves in Mexico. Since the 1930s and 1940s, when Manuel Hernández founded the family workshop, the company has navigated ups and downs, yet consistently maintained its commitment to excellence.

A Family Legacy

The Hernández workshop initially focused on filling sacks, but soon specialized in crafting boxing gloves. The family worked tirelessly to establish themselves as suppliers for prominent Mexican brands such as MM, Seyer, and Palomares. However, fierce competition and lack of support led the company to a precarious situation.

A Fateful Contract

In the 1980s, the Hernández family signed a contract with q famous American brand, which seemed like an opportunity to stabilize the business. Unfortunately, the contract proved to be a grave mistake. The owner of the brand seized control of the workshop and all its assets, leaving the Hernández family with nothing.

A New Beginning

Despite adversity, the Hernández family refused to give up. Following the passing of the workshop's owner and the departure of their cousins, Fernando Hernández Ayala and his son Isaac Hernández Valencia found themselves without employment. Undeterred, they decided to start anew, without resources or support, but with the tradition and quality of yesteryear.

The Struggle to Survive

The Hernández brothers had to begin from scratch, crafting gloves without molds, materials, or support. They had to walk from gym to gym, offering their gloves without success. Despite the lack of acceptance, the Hernández family persevered. After eight years, they finally established themselves with their own brand.

A Legacy that Endures

Today, Hernández Gloves are synonymous with quality and tradition in the boxing world. The family has worked with some of the world's top boxers, including Klitschko, Mayweather, Chávez Jr., Canelo, and Mosley. The company's survival and prosperity are a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Hernández family.

A Bright Future

With a strong online presence and a loyal customer base, Hernández Gloves is poised for continued growth and expansion. The Hernández family remains committed to working with passion and dedication, preserving the tradition and quality that has defined them for decades.
