ORLANDO, FL (August 25, 2025) — Boxlab Promotions’ featherweight prospect Carlos De Leon (5-0, 4 KOs) of San Juan, Puerto Rico, delivered another dazzling performance this past Friday, August 22, scoring a second-round TKO over Nicaragua’s Haminton Blandon (3-2-1, 1 KO) during MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 14 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. The scheduled six-round bout was streamed live on DAZN, and fans witnessed a rising star take another major step forward.

De Leon’s fast-paced, electrifying style is quickly turning heads, and boxing insiders are already calling him Puerto Rico’s next great hope. His mix of aggression, timing, and poise in the ring evokes memories of the island’s legendary fighters—and De Leon is embracing the pressure and spotlight with hunger.

The 22-year-old De Leon wasted no time asserting dominance, unloading blistering combinations that overwhelmed Blandon. The end came at 1:47 of round two, as a relentless flurry of punches forced the referee to step in and wave off the action, preserving De Leon’s undefeated record in emphatic fashion. “This moment was amazing,” said De Leon following the win. “To score a TKO like that live on DAZN—man, I wanted to show people I’m not here to play. I bring fire every time I step in the ring. With the whole world watching, I feed off the energy, and I love putting on a show for the fans.”
