The highly anticipated all-British welterweight showdown between Jack Catterall and Harlem Eubank is officially on, as both fighters, along with the entire card, successfully made weight today ahead of tomorrow's action at Manchester's AO Arena. The event, presented by Matchroom Boxing, will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN, with prelims kicking off at 5:00 PM local time on Matchroom Boxing's YouTube channel, followed by the main broadcast on DAZN at 7:00 PM.
In the highly anticipated main event, both Jack Catterall (Chorley, England) and Harlem Eubank (Brighton, England) weighed in at 146.5 lbs for their 12-round clash for the WBA International and IBF Intercontinental Welterweight Titles. The identical weights set the stage for a truly competitive and explosive encounter between the two British rivals.
The co-main event features a compelling WBO Global Lightweight Title bout, with Joe Cordina (Cardiff, Wales) coming in at 134.7 lbs and his opponent, Jaret Gonzalez Quiros (Monterrey, Mexico), at 133.45 lbs. Both fighters look in superb condition, promising a high-stakes battle for the lightweight strap.
The comprehensive undercard also saw all fighters successfully make weight, ensuring a full night of boxing action for the Manchester faithful:
- Aqib Fiaz (Oldham, England) weighed 133.9 lbs for his 10-round lightweight contest against Alex Murphy (Salford, England), who was 135 lbs.
- In cruiserweight action, Pat Brown (Manchester, England) tipped the scales at 203.8 lbs against Lewis Oakford (High Wycombe, England) at 204 lbs, in an 8-round bout.
- William Crolla (Manchester, England) weighed 155.7 lbs for his 8-round super-welterweight fight against Frazer Wilkinson (Monterrey, Scotland) at 154.6 lbs.
- Rising star Skye Nicolson (Brisbane, Australia) came in at 123.9 lbs for her 8-round international super-bantamweight contest against Carla Gonzales (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia) at 122.7 lbs.
- In a 6-round international super-middleweight contest, Niall Brown (Stockport, England) weighed 171.4 lbs against Victor Ionascu (Frankfurt, Germany) at 168.6 lbs.
- The prelims will also feature Alfie Middlemiss (Manchester, England) at 127.5 lbs vs. Mohammed Wako (York, England) at 127.4 lbs in a 4-round featherweight contest, and Leo Atang (York, England) at 226.3 lbs vs. Milen Paunov (Burgas, Bulgaria) at 218.7 lbs in a 4-round international heavyweight contest.
With all fighters cleared for action, Manchester's AO Arena is set to deliver an electrifying night of boxing. Doors open at 4:30 PM local time.
