Undefeated Super Bantamweight Chavez Barrientes Returns June 7th Against Sharone Carter on Most Valuable Prospects 13 Card

PhilBoxing.com

ORLANDO, FL (June 5, 2025) — Boxlab Promotions' talented super bantamweight prospect, Chavez Barrientes (10-0, 6 KOs) of Las Vegas, Nevada, will step back into the spotlight on Saturday, June 7, 2025, as he takes on the durable veteran Sharone Carter (14-11-1, 3 KOs) of St. Louis, Missouri. The scheduled eight-round contest will be part of the stacked Most Valuable Prospects 13 card at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, and will be televised live on DAZN.

Barrientes, one of the most exciting young talents under the Boxlab Promotions banner, brings an undefeated record, explosive hand speed, and a fan-friendly style.

Chavez talks about his recent training camp, his upcoming matchup with Carter, what a win will do for his career and more.

“Training camp has been incredible," said Barrientes. "My dad and I have really been dialing in every detail, making sure I’m as sharp as possible. We’ve been pushing the pace and refining my skills every day in Vegas.”

Barrientes is ready to face Carter, a veteran fighter, and climb the ranks in the bantamweight division.

“Carter is an experienced fighter who’s been in with some good guys like my brother, so I’m not taking him lightly. He's a dirty fighter, but I’m focused on controlling the fight and showing that I’m on a different level.”

A win for Chavez would mean a lot for his career in his words. “A win this Saturday is going to keep the momentum going and prove that I’m ready for bigger fights. It’s another step towards my goal of becoming a world champion.”

Chavez is ready to give the fans an entertaning fight stating, “Fans can expect fireworks. I’m ready to put on a show and make a statement. I’m going to be aggressive, smart, and show everyone why I’m an undefeated prospect on the rise.”

Amaury Piedra, President of Boxlab Promotions, stated "Chavez Barrientes continues to impress every time he steps in the ring. He has that rare mix of talent, charisma, and discipline. This fight against Sharone Carter is another key moment in his rise. We expect him to shine on June 7th and show the boxing world why he’s one of the most talked-about prospects in the division."
