CISO MORALES PREPARES FOR WAR PhilBoxing.com Tue, 24 Jun 2008 Young prospect from Talibon, Bohol Ciso "Kid Terrible" Morales is fully prepared and has racked up more than 100 rounds of sparring in a highly anticipated showdown against two- time WBO regional challenger Hussein Pazzi of Africa, Tanzania. In a conversation with Morales, the young champion explained, "Gusto ko humanon nako ang dula ni Pazzi sa early rounds, dili ko over confident basta mo daug lang jud ko. I will try my best lang". (I will try and finish the fight with Pazzi in the early rounds, I am not over confidence but I will make sure I will win) said Morales in his native language.) When asked about what his opponent had said in a recent article interview, Morales dismissed it and said that well they can talk all they want but they will not take my belt away from me, "we will see in the ring, I am 100 percent prepared for this fight, there is no excuses for me, I am ready," Morales said. Morales who is an up-coming prospect who was once penciled in to be in the under-card of a major card in the States in March, was later suggested by Golden Boy Promotions to be inserted on the under-card of the ABS-CBN Invasion card on April. GBP V.P. Eric Gomez had informed Gello-ani that it was the request of the television network to have Morales on that specific event. Morales later displayed an outstanding performance against Korea Yoo-Shin Kim that impressed a lot of fight fans and GBP Execs. In a conversation with Sammy Gello-ani of SGG Sports Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions V.P. Eric Gomez has plans of showcasing "Kid Terrible" Morales on either the Casamayor / Marquez encounter on September 13th or the Diaz / Katsidis match on September 6th. "Well we first need to see if Ciso Morales can pass the test with Pazzi at first, we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, of course the ultimate goal is to get exposed in the States. Currently, Morales is highly world rated at number 10 in the WBO ranking and we expect him to move higher in the ranking after a win against Pazzi this July 19th. that will definitely get more attention" explained Gello-Ani. |
