Greenfield District holds first kiddie chess tourney PhilBoxing.com Wed, 31 Jul 2024 Mandaluyong City---Metro Manila's top kiddies chess players will have their hands full this August 11 as the Greenfield District Chess Club unfolds the one-day 1st Arman Chess Cup Kiddies Rapid Chess Tournament (12 yrs old & Below) at the Ground Floor, Greenfield District, Pavilion Mall, Mandaluyong City. The event backed up by Mr. Arman Salvador of Bords Haircut Hair Replacement System held in cooperation with Greenfield District , Kaizen Knights CD Chess Club and Bayanihan Chess Club will hand out P16,000 in cash prizes to the winners. The champion will receive P4,000 in cash prizes together with the championship trophy and gold medal, P3,000 will be given to the second and a silver medal, P2,000 and a bronze medal will go to the third placer, P1,000 and a medal will pocket to the fourth placer and P800 and a medal will earn to the fourth placer. The fifth to 10th placers will bring home P500 and a medal as well special prizes for the top 10, top 8 and top 6 years old and below (boys and girls). "We are excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming Chess Tournament. This event is open to all chess enthusiasts who want to test their skills and compete against other players," said Tournament Organizer Mr. Arman Salvador of Bords Haircut Hair Replacement System. "This FIDE rapid rated tournament is open to chess players aged 12-years old and below, and will follow a time control of 15 mins. plus 3 secs. increment for each player of the team to finish the game," he added.
