The Chinese and Filipino Boxing Promoters Get Together to Collaborate Further.
Top China promoter Liu Gang and Award-winning Filipino matchmaker/promoter Brico Santig are joining forces.
The two experienced men of boxing have met over dinner at the plush Maitria Hotel in Bangkok to implement a plan to increment the development of the sport of pro boxing for Filipino and Chinese fighters.
More exciting, competitive and rewarding shows and events are being planned by the two boxing wizards, aiming at forging new star boxing champions.
Both Liu Gang and Brico Santig were fighters since their teen years, keeping the passion for combat sports in their hearts.
In his youth, Gang became a member of the Chinese Boxing team to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He then became a pro boxer, and now he is China's top promoter with his a thriving 25-staff promotion company headquartered in Shenzhen.
Brico Santig meanwhile, was a former explosive Muay Thai Fighter nicknamed as “Hurricane” because of his thrilling whirlwind tornado kick.
Thirty years ago, Brico battled in Asia and Europe. It's been long.
But he has never abandoned his love and respect for combat sports, especially boxing. He is now a director at Highland Boxing Promotions, staging events in Asia and the Middle East.
