Ex-world champ Saludar fights Aton for ABF title in Naga, Cebu

PhilBoxing.com

CEBU, Philippines - Professional boxing returns to the City of Naga, Cebu, Philippines featuring 10 bouts of exciting fights on December 21, 2022 at the Enan Chiong Activity Center.

Vic Saludar, the former World Boxing Association (WBA) world minimumweight king, pits his skills against the little-known Ariston Aton for the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) minimumweight belt in the main attraction of the card billed as "Rumble in Naga."

Saludar, who once fought in Naga for the same title and won against Mike Kinaadman in 2019, is toting a 21-6 record with 11 KOs and is highly-favored to pick another win against the Aton who had nine wins with five by way of knockouts and five defeats in his pro career.

Hails from Cagayan de Oro City, the 32-year old Saludar became the WBA champion after winning over Robert Paradero in the historic all-Filipino world title fight at the Binan Football Stadium in 2021.

Another nine matches of breathtaking bouts that also features young and aspiring local fighters will complete the card organized and promoted by the City Government of Naga in Cooperation with the Championship Development Boxing of the Philippines.

The youthful Boy Acope takes on veteran Johnrey Lauza Domingag in six-round fight, while Michael Adolfo will test the mettle of Anthony Galigao.

Johnro Taneo against Marlon Alejandro while Jeson Mopon will trade blows with Grant Elorza.

Cherwellan Cantel of Daan Bantayan takes on Mark Anthony Rotilles of PhilAust Mandaue City as Jakeson Saludar fights Jimpaul Dignos.

Raffie Jamero against Joebert Dacullo; George Sedilio against Dondi Lariosa Janonillo and Keir Torgosa of Talisay City versus Henry Flor of Bohol.

"Rumble in Naga" is fully supported by Mayor Val Chiong, Naris Singwancha, Winley Customs Brokerage and Services, Provera Nutritional Solutions Corp. Ace Motorcycle Trading Inc., Rose Aquarius Merchandizing, Tuburan Coffee, Fighter Wine and CEMVEDCO. JBM
