Tejones to fight Lorenzo for vacant WBF Int’l light title

SOUTHPAW Joe Tejones of Valencia City will fight Guillaume Lorenzo of France for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International lightweight title on August 24, Wednesday at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.
The 25-year-old Tejones has fought five times in championship fights. But he lost everything in the fight.
Tejones first lost by a knockout to Hinata Maruta of Japan in the 7th round for the WBC Youth World bantamweight title last November 23, 2016 in Osaka.
He then bowed to Pathinya Phumidet of Thailand by a unanimous decision for the WBC Youth World super flyweight title last March 31, 2017 in Bangkok.
Tejones also lost to Vincent Astrolabio of Gensan by a unanimous decision for the MinProba bantamweight title last July 24, 2017 in Koronadal City.
Tejones then lost to Tenta Kiyose of Japan by a UD for the WBC Youth World super bantamweight title last November 5, 2017 at Kanzaki-gun.
In his last title-fight, Tejones suffered a technical decision to Yiran Li in the 7th round for WBC Youth World featherweight title last May 15, 2018 at Olympic Park in Xi An.
Lorenzo, on the other hand, has retired Jose Ocampo in the 5th round last June 7, 2022 in Polomolok.
He has eight wins, six loses and five knockouts.
The boxing event features a total of seven bouts under the Sanman Boxing Promotions.
