Former Brazilian Champ Miguel De Oliveira, 74

This Friday in São Paulo, Brazil, former boxer Miguel de Oliveira passed away at age 74, the second Brazilian world champion in boxing. De Oliveira was battling pancreatic cancer discovered about three months ago.
De Oliveira was born in São Manuel and was Brazilian champion in 1970. Five years later on May 7, 1975 at the Stade Louis II, Fontvieille in Monaco, he defeated José Duran of Spain to conquer the WBC light middleweight belt..
De Oliveria had 45 wins (28 KOs), five losses and a career draw for him. The boxer ended his career at age 28 in 1980 and became a trainer after graduating from Physical Education.
