NEW YORK (March 4, 2021) -Split-T Management is pleased to announce a partnership with well-respected fight manager Ricardo Figueroa.
Figueroa has worked in the sport for almost twenty years, and is widely recognized as one of the "good guys" in the industry. He has helped guide the careers of various top fighters including Daniel Alicea, Juan Manuel Lopez and Joel Torres to name just a few. In recent years, Figueroa has been focused on the development of youth boxing programs in Puerto Rico and helping the island recover after being hit by multiple natural disasters. He has worked closely with local trainers Emilio Lozada, head trainer of Monterey Boxing Academy in Bayamón, and the legendary Che Che Sanchez to assist those communities hit the hardest.
Ricardo will use his close ties to the Puerto Rican territory to provide Split-T Boxing with local expertise in logistics, recruitment, and translation services, among other activities.
Figueroa stated, "It is an honor to have an affiliation with the premiere boxing management company in the world, Split-T Boxing. I have a lot of respect for how Dave McWater approaches the sport and works tirelessly and passionately for his boxers. I operate in the same way - it is my job to put the boxer in the best position to succeed."
Figueroa currently manages standout welterweight prospect Jose "Cheito" Roman (10-0, 5 KOs), as well as Juan Zayas (3-0, 3 KOs) and Yariel Santiago (3-0, 0 KOs).
