Arrival Ceremonies for Team Pacquiao at the Mandalay Bay

PhilBoxing.com

LAS VEGAS ? Fresh from a 436-kilometer cruise from Los Angeles, Team Pacquiao arrived here at around 9 o?clock in the evening March 10 at the glitzy Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and was wildly received by supporters.

The 12-vehicle convoy led by Manny Pacquiao?s 15-seater Navigator, left California at past 4 o?clock in the afternoon.
Some of those who joined the five-hour trip from California to Nevada were Texas-based ring physician Dr. Allan Recto, Moy Lainez, Gerry Garcia, Wakee Salud, boxing sensation Bernabe Concepcion, among other prominent boxing personalities. WBO champion Gerry Penalosa and his wife Goody, accompanied by Mandaluyong-based boxing manager Jay San Pedro and his wife who came all the way from Toronto, Canada, arrived on plane from L.A. at around 9 p.m.

An arrival ceremony was held morning of March 11 at the main entrance of the hotel both for Team Pacquiao and Team Marquez.
Both Pacquiao and World Boxing Council (WBC) superfeatherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez met earlier in a press conference attended mostly by Mexican fans at the Olvera St. in Los Angeles some five hours before the departure to Nevada.
Pacquiao, 29, and Marquez, 34, will dispute the WBC bauble in a 12-round fight on March 15 in a card dubbed ?Unfinished Business.? The rematch is co-promoted by Top Rank represented by Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions headed by Oscar de la Hoya.
