Gervonta Davis and Naoya Inoue Stop Opponents in Thrilling Knock Outs By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sun, 01 Nov 2020  Gervonta “Tank” Davis and “Monster” Naoya Inoue, two of the most exciting fighters in today’s boxing, came out swinging brilliantly ravaging their opponents to the canvas on Halloween Night. With a monstrous left uppercut (see main photo) Gervonta "Tank" Davis demolished Mexican Leo Santa Cruz, impacting his head with full force, rocking him to dreamland in round 6 tonight in San Antonio, Texas. The electric victory makes “Tank” Davis the WBA Super Featherweight as well as WBA Lightweight World Champion.  Double-weight champion Gervonta Davis. After the battle, Davis (24-0, 23 KO’s) said in Showtime PPV that he plans to keep both belts, willing to defend them against any warrior at 130 or 135 weight-class. Then, a war at 135 lbs of Gervonta Davis against Teófimo López or Ryan Garcia would surely grab fans attention.  Inoue connects. The reigning WBC bantamweight king is unbeaten French southpaw Nordine Oubaali (17-0, 12 KO’s) who is set to clash against the exciting Filipino Flash Nonito Donaire (40-6, 26 KO’s) at the Mohegan Sun on December 12. However, a fight that boxing fans in the Philippines would love to see is the “Monster” against experienced Leyteño WBO world champion Johnriel Casimero, hopefully in 2021.
