TYSON ON BEATING ALI IN THE EWBSS: “I WOULDN’T WIN THE REAL FIGHT”

Mike Tyson came off with a win in the inaugural ‘eWBSS Heavyweight Legends’ Tournament by beating Muhammad Ali on points in the final.
Today, Friday, Tyson told Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole that the outcome would have been different if the legends had fought in real-life.
“I know it’s a fantasy game. Most likely I would win the fantasy, I wouldn’t win the real fight,” said Tyson before adding, “Ali’s the greatest there’s ever been.”
Iron Mike took home the eAli Trophy after 12 rounds of war with Muhammad Ali on March 30. In the final, simulated on EA Sports ‘Fight Night Champion’, Ali knocked Tyson down in the first round. However, Tyson got back in the fight and floored Ali in the second and the fifth to win by unanimous decision with the scorecards reading 114-111.
Ali and Tyson went through the classic eight-man WBSS format on their way to the final. Ali beat Evander Holyfield and Sonny Liston, and Mike Tyson conquered Eric ‘Esch’ Butterbean and George Foreman before they met in the tournament decider. The tournament was broadcast on World Boxing Super Series Facebook with 336,000 views of the final alone. The heavyweight tournament was followed by the ‘eWBSS Middleweight Legends Tournament’, and soon the eWBSS will return with a new season of the quest for the eAli Trophy.
