20th Elorde Awards Postponed

The 20th Gabriel 'Flash' Elorde Awards and Banquet of Champions which was originally scheduled on March 25 at the Okada Manila Hotel in Parañaque City, has been postponed owing to the community qruarantine that will be implemented in Metro Manila starting this Sunday, March 15 until April 14, 2020.
Awards organnizer Liza Elorde informed PhilBoxing that an announcement will be made as to the exact date of the postponement when the community quarantine has been completed.
The quarantine has been implemented in Metro Manila to arrest the chain of the COVID-19 infection that mushroomed in the nation's capital the past few days. The Philippines has so far registered 52 positive cases with 5 deaths. Worldwide, the corona virus, which originated in Wuhan, China last December, has already infected 135,000 and close to 5,000 deaths.
